There were no warning signs, she did not ask for help or tell me what she was thinking. She didn’t realize what she was doing and after she took them she regretted it but was too late. She will always be my soulmate, she will always live in my home in her urn and her photos beside it. I will always love her and have already forgiven her. If writing this saves just one person who may be taking these pills, then my pain that I am feeling as I type will be worth it. This is her final chapter, but she will remain with all of us forever. My mother came out to visit last year, and my mom ended up getting divorced shortly after returning back in Arizona. Ali told my mom she would find her a place to live and help move her out. We found a trailer in an over 50 community by the lake. Ali told my mom we were going to fix up the trailer so it looked just like her home in Arizona she would be leaving. She used her own money and spent nearly $15,000 flipping the trailer. What was sad is that my mom did not know what she did for a living, so she got no credit for her generosity. In fact my mom would often tell Ali she really needs to think about a career and not just be a stay at home wife. This would upset Ali so much, but she never told her because she valued the relationship she had with my mom. Ali also surprised me one day when she bought me a boat. I had not been boating since leaving the Coast Guard after 21 years, and stopped driving boats due to losing my best friend in the Coast Guard. Within an hour, the ambulance pulled up, took her and I followed them to the hospital where her surgeon was. I still could not go inside. Ali knew I was a wreck, and typically Ali fashion instead of worrying about herself she contacted a friend of mine and told her to get down there and comfort Karl. I was sitting in the parking lot for hours. Just looking up at the hospital wondering what was going on. Then I got an instant message. She sent me a photo from her recovery room looking down at the parking lot and circled where I was standing. They asked us for our name, and she said, "Mr. and Mrs. Beeman". I was trying to keep it a secret because it was only 2 months since my divorce and didn't want others to judge me. Ali didn't care what others thought, she never had. Well, my ex-wife works at Starbucks, not the one we went to but obviously word travels fast. We did not even make it home and my daughter text me and said, "I heard you got married today, can I sleep over?". Now I remind you this was my wedding day, and we were going to go out and have a nice dinner to celebrate. Ali did not give it a second thought; she said let's go pick her up.
